About the Theme

Koç University Libraries (Suna Kıraç Library and branch libraries AKMED, ANAMED and VEKAM) continued their project with the theme of Treasury Gallery 5: “Holding on the Future: Protecting Cultural Heritage”, which was initiated to increase the visibility of their collections, to address informative and interesting topics and to present them online to researchers.

This theme focused on preserving architectural structures, works of art, museum objects, and archive documents. Within the scope of the theme, activities were held to raise social awareness about the preservation of cultural heritage assets through podcasts, speeches, and social media posts, as well as the promotion of print, digital, and rare resources in Koç University Libraries.

Holding on the Future: Protecting Cultural Heritage Theme Introduction (April 4, 2022)

From April to June 2022, the theme will focus on the ways to conserve cultural heritage assets, including architecture, art & museum objects, and archival documents. The theme aims to raise public awareness about protecting cultural heritage assets by featuring selected sources in Koç University Libraries and through various activities, including podcasts, panels, workshops, and social media posts.
