Suna Kıraç Library offered 10 iPad minis to the library users. Koç University members with a valid KU e-mail address can reserve iPads for borrowing

Terms and Conditions:

• iPads can only be borrowed by current students, faculty and staff of Koç University by reservation.
• To borrow an iPad, reservation must be made at least 1 day in advance.
• The loan period of iPads is determined as 1 day and can be borrowed 2 times a week.
• Borrowing and returning of iPads are made from the Library Technology Office (Z19-D) on the days and times listed below. (Appointment days and times will be provided to users by the relevant librarians.)
  • iPad borrowings are available Monday to Thursday between 09:00 and 16:00 on weekdays. Reservation is required for iPad borrowing. (iPads to be borrowed on Thursday are only loaned for 1 day. No extension).
  • iPad returns can be made to the Library Technology Office (Z19-D) between 09:00 and 16:00 on weekdays. iPad returns are not accepted on weekends.
  • Users are required to sign the printed iPad Responsibility Statement Form when borrowing an iPad.
  • Users who do not agree to sign the iPad Responsibility Statement Form cannot benefit from the iPad borrowing service
• It is obligatory to present the KU-ID card of the person making the reservation at the time of borrowing.
• Equipment supplied with the iPad (cable, adapter and carrying case) must be received and returned at the same time.
• Do not delete existing applications on iPad. User-installed apps will be deleted when iPad is returned.
• It is obligatory for the borrower to return the iPads in person. The librarian on duty will perform hardware and software checks when the iPad is returned.
• For iPads that are not returned on time, a daily delay penalty of 25 TL is applied. (Weekend is subject to penalty).
• If the iPad is lost, the borrower is obliged to pay the current iPad price.
• If the adapter, cable, smart cover, carrying case and screen protector are lost, the current price of the lost material will be charged to the borrower.
• Please do not leave the iPad that you have borrowed and for which you are financially responsible, with you in case of theft or damage. All borrowed iPads are the responsibility of the borrower.

• Laptops can only be borrowed by Health Sciences Library users.
• The laptop loan period is 3 days (for student), 1 week (for faculty and staff) with no renewal.
• Overdue fines are 25 TL per day.
• The replacement fee for lost laptop is the actual cost of the item plus 50 TL processing fee.
• The current value of the lost/damaged laptop bag is taken as a penalty.

• Calculators can be borrowed from the Library Reserve / Information Desk by current students, faculty and staff of Koç University.
• The calculator loan period is 4 hours with no renewal.
• Overdue fines are 10 TL per hour.
• If the calculator is lost, the current cost of the calculator and a process fee of 50 TL are charged.

• Headphones can be borrowed from the Library Reserve / Information Desk by current students, faculty and staff of Koç University.
• Headphone models are on-ear headphones (models with microphone available).
• The calculator loan period is 4 hours with no renewal.
• Overdue fines are 10 TL per hour.
• If the headphone is lost, the current cost of the headphone and a process fee of 50 TL are charged.

• Adapters can be borrowed from the Library Reserve / Information Desk by current students, faculty and staff of Koç University.
• The adapter loan period is 2 hours with no renewal.
• Overdue fines are 10 TL per hour.
• If the adapter is lost, the current cost of the adapter and a process fee of 50 TL are charged.

• DVD Writer can be borrowed from the Library Reserve / Information Desk by current students, faculty and staff of Koç University.
• The DVD Writer loan period is 2 hours with no renewal.
• Overdue fines are 10 TL per hour.
• If the DVD Writer is lost, the current cost of the DVD Writer and a process fee of 50 TL are charged.

There are HDMI and VGA cables as display cables that you can borrow in the library.

• Display cables can be borrowed from the Library Reserve / Information Desk by current students, faculty and staff of Koç University.
• The display cables loan period is 2 hours with no renewal.
• Overdue fines are 10 TL per hour.
• If the HDMI cable or VGA cable is lost, the current cost of the display cable and a process fee of 50 TL are charged.

• SKL lends data connection cable for internet as well as wireless internet network.
• Network cable can be borrowed from the Library Reserve / Information Desk by current students, faculty and staff of Koç University.
• The network cable loan period is 2 hours with no renewal.
• Overdue fines are 10 TL per hour.
• If the network cable is lost, the current cost of the network cable are charged.

• The TV remote can be borrowed from the Library Reserve / Information Desk to be used by the current students, faculty and staff of Koç University for the TVs in their individual study rooms.
• The TV/Remote loan period is 2 hours with no renewal.
• Overdue fines are 10 TL per hour.
• If the TV/Remote is lost, the current cost of the TV/Remote and a process fee of 50 TL are charged.
