Summer is approaching, but so as finals’ week! The month of May is internationally celebrated as the Mental Health Awareness Month and under the spell of good weather and bright sun, we spare time to stop and think about our mental wellbeing just before upcoming finals. We know that for our students, it is one of the most stressful months of the year, so we thought that some craft workshops could help us all to soothe our minds. You can find the details of our upcoming mindfullness events in our newsletter.
As end of the term comes, we are also very exited to host the 5th International Library Staff Week themed “Digital in Every Sense”. We look forward to meet new colleagues and share our experiences and insights with them!
In this newsletter, you will also find details about our services, new resources we offer, details about all of our May events and latest news from the library. Morever, we celebrate everyone’s May 1, “International Workers’ Day”, and remember all the sacrifices made by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his brothers in arms in the War of Indepence on 105th anniversary of their landing on Samsun on May 19, 1919.

The Ethics of Using AI to Write Papers
|
A recent article published in Science magazine higlights the latest organizational efforts in academia and publishing circles to come up with a detailed and broadscale set of guidelines to use artificial intelligence tools in academic publishing. While the ethical questions surrounding the topic are multiplied every passing day with every newly introduced tool, the discussions are mostly focused on to which degree the use of AI tools is acceptable in limits of academic integrity.
