Circumstances demand self-isolation and extreme precautions, but life goes on – just like education and research. Libraries around the world are facing the impact of COVID-19 on their programs and services, colleagues, and community. KU Libraries are open electronically to support the academic community with resources, tools and webinars.

To connect to these services and especially for accessing the e-resources we subscribe to, you must set up a VPN connection or use our proxy server.

From download to installation and all configuration settings are already shared in the University’s Information Technologies department’s website. Visit the “How to set up a VPN?” section.

The VPN services are limited to a certain number of users. As a result, few times you won’t be able to connect to the KU network with VPN connection. As an alternative way, you can always use our proxy server connection “Off-Campus Services” to access e-resources via inKUire or from the Databases title links (Remember if a title has a red key icon you must use it to connect with off-campus proxy server).
