Precautions Taken By The Library Against Coronavirus

Dear Students,

In light of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK)’s decision to close all universities in Turkey for three weeks to avoid the spreading of the coronavirus, the following steps have been taken by the library:

  • All the materials in your Library Account have been extended until February 21, 2021 due to the situation we are in due to the COVID 19 outbreak. You may check your library account with My Account page.
  • All KU Libraries are closed until further notice
  • Based on the suggested “social distancing” practice, tables in the 24/7 open study areas can be used only for individual study. Please study alone and don’t share the tables. Please follow librarians’ reminders and do not leave your personal belongings unattended.
  • Educational programs and library events book club sessions are canceled until futher notice.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Suna Kıraç Library

How to Access E-Resources via Off-Campus Links ? (Alternative for VPN)

When you need to access library e-resources from out of campus but you had a problem with “VPN Connection”, you may always use our off-campus links as an alternative.

Below you may find steps on how to use off-campus links;

Start your research with inKUire.

Because of your off campus network connection system will ask you to continue as “Guest”

Click “View Full Text” link to access required resources.

Next screen will ask you to enter your “KUSIS” Username & Password.

After the validation screen(if you entered your username and password right), you will be re-directed to the related database page.

From this point you can continue your research and you will be able to view or download the full text of the library’s subscribed resources.
